Fredrico's first spark of interest in the fashion industry began at the age of seventeen. With the help and guidance of a friend who was also a prominent salon owner in Albuquerque, he enrolled in cosmetology school and graduated with top honors from the Hollywood School of Beauty Culture. He took advantage of all advanced training that he was able to while working in some of Albuquerque's top salons. Within five years of working in the profession, Fredrico decided something was lacking and felt there was a need and a great demand for a salon that offered excellent service, quality products, and most important, a staff of knowledgeable stylists with a dedicated approach to their profession.

He opened his first salon in 1969 with that objective in mind and continues to use the same philosophy 28 years later. He has become a leader in the profession as well as receiving many awards and recognitions for his contributions to the beauty industry. His proudest achievement is knowing that Fredricos Salon has the reputation of being one of Albuquerque's finest and highly respected salons by both his associates and Albuquerque's citizens.
